Worker Flees with Gold Jewelry Worth Rs 24 Lakh from Malad Workshop; Police Launch Manhunt
The Malad police have launched a search for a worker, identified as Budho Shaikh, suspected of stealing gold jewelry worth Rs 24 lakh from a manufacturing workshop in Malad West, Mumbai.
According to sources, the complainant, a businessman from Kandivali, runs a gold jewelry manufacturing unit in Kanchpada, Malad West, Mumbai, with around 40 employees crafting gold ornaments.
Shaikh, who joined the factory in April, last reported to work a week ago but has since been unreachable. Suspicion arose when the businessman discovered a shortage in gold raw materials in the vault two days ago.
Upon attempting to contact Shaikh, he found the worker’s phone switched off. The businessman subsequently filed a complaint with the Malad Mumbai police.
An investigation is underway as authorities seek to locate Shaikh and recover the missing assets.
