AURIS CHA RAJA Ganeshji marks the new beginnings, after 2 years of no celebrations, Ganesh Chaturthi this year has been celebrated with a lot of fervour and enthusiasm. Auris serenity, a society in Malad West had its own ganesh utsav from 31st August to 4th September.
This year being the 75th glorious year of India’s independence, the chose one of the UNESCO heritage sites as their theme. A magnificent and enormous cave was built at the entrance wherein, Ganesha’s father, lord Shiva was installed right outside it. As we entered the pandal, it was a delight to see Ajanta and Ellora caves come alive here. The whole concept was conceptualised by the chairperson of the society along with the others. Just at the entrance of the mandir, a Buddha statue was placed and a water body was made. It had beautiful ducks in it , a two level temple was created for seamless entry and exit.
All this was made considering the covid protocols. A waterfall was created right at the entrance and behind the magnificent Ganesha idol, who people lovingly referred as their AURIS CHA RAJA. The spectacular effects of light made this place too good to be true.
The idol was specially curated in accordance to the theme chosen by the Aurisians. This one pandal definitely stood out from others as each element was so similar to the caves.
