Malad News: Man held from Ayodhya for giving supari to stab Malad East priest
A 25-year-old man has been arrested from Uttar Pradesh in connection with a knife attack on a temple priest in Malad (East) earlier this week.
Surya Narayan Das alias Surya Narayan Rajbhar, the prime accused, was intercepted from Ayodhya in a joint operation of the UP Special Task Force and the Kurar police station.
The UP police said Das had given a ‘supari’ (contract) of Rs 7 lakh to an assailant to stab the priest, Madhav Acharya. The assailant is on the run.
