Hand-made 3 feet ganesh idol by young boy – Parth Gohil a resident of malad west, Mumbai

As Parth Gohil fond of making creative item in the field of art and craft, Gohil journey of sculpting ganesh idol began 4 years ago.

Ganesh chaturthi is one of my favourite festival so sculpting hand-made ganesh idol gives me immense joy as bappa is my strongest support system and i have been honored 2 times by 1 channel for creating best murti this year the ganesh idol at my home is made up of paper and it’s of 3 feet , it took me around 2-3 months to create this beautiful idol

I started making Idol with the base and then stomach which is play vital role in shaping the idol,then come the face which require finishing as attractive parts are involved, this whole structure is made up of paper balls and cardboard and after that two layers of newspaper and one layer of tissue paper are pasted on it i let the idol dry for around 2-3 days to began with paintings

After the drying process is finished, I started acrylic painting on the idol, dhoti which is worn by bappa is original as it looks surreal after all this work i started designing jewellery for bappa which are studed with diamonds and the fevicol has been used to paste it properly. Again I let the idol dry for 1 day next day i started with the most important work which was working on the eyes of bappa , whole finishing of murti depends on eyes as it conveys many emotions at a time.

After the pretty eyes are ready to give cherry on the cake , i made khes for bappa which is of green and pink colour finally my beautiful murti was ready with a crown called paghdi which is adored with brooch and diamonds.

We worship this homemade eco-friendly idol for 10 days with great enthusiasm and faith on bappaat the and i would like to convey my warm regards to all the devotees of bappa.
